meteonorm maps
The following maps show yearly means of global or beam radiation for different regions of the world. They are based on ground measurements as well as satellite pictures. With meteonorm such maps can be produced for any region of the world between 60°S and 60°N (see meteonorm maps). meteonorm maps are calculated pixel by pixel.

Difference Map version 6.1 to version 7
- global horizontal radiation (GHI)
- direct normal radiation (DNI)
The difference maps show the difference between the global horizontal radiation (GHI) and direct normal radiation (DNI) between version 7 and version 6.1.
- Positive values: Version 7 has higher values;
- Negative values: Version 6.1 has higher values.
The differences are induced by different time periods (1986 - 2005 compared to 1981-2000) and ground stations and enhanced satellite data. The results of version 7 have generally a lower level of uncertainty.
