It is an accurate and fast tool to determine the real horizon line at your specific site. meteonorm horicatche allows you to take into account the reduction of the solar energy input, the sunshine duration and sun exposure by obstacles like trees, houses or mountains at your site.

Horizon Analysis in Seconds

With meteonorm horicatcher you can register the horizon in the field quickly and efficiently in order to calculate limitations of the sunshine duration and irradiation due to obstacles. The result can be analyzed directly in the field.

The horicatcher tool within meteonorm calculated the sun's orbit, which is put in relation with the horizon. After digitizing the horizon and saving the data meteonorm takes into account the reduced solar energy input, the sunshine duration and sun exposure.

Using meteonorm horicatcher, METEOTEST also provides individual sunshine exposure analyses.

Components

A horizon mirror, the camera and the mounting device are attached to a regular photographic tripod. The built-in circular level allows a precise leveling of the device.
