A step by step guide
This step by step guide is showing as example images the meteonorm software version 6.1 but for all previous software versions the steps are similar.
Download installer
Using the download from our website provides you with the latest version of the meteonorm software. We highly recommend to use only the download file and not any CD version.
Install the meteonorm software
The software installer will guide you through the installation. Just double click the downloaded exe file.

Obtain the installation code
- Information window at start up
Every new installation of meteonorm software version 6.x generates an installation code during the installation process.
Even if you have registered before, a new installation needs to be registered again because the password depends on the installation code.
When you start up meteonorm 6 an information window will appear as long as your software is not registered yet. In the second line you can see the installation code, for example:
Your individual installation code is: 12345
Get the password
- Registration e-mail with the password
Now you have obtained your installation code. Visit the registration form on this website (www.meteonorm.com) and enter your serial number and the installation code as well as all the other information required. Within a few working hours you will receive your password from us by e-mail.

When you have received the password, start up meteonorm again and proceed to the registration window (see screenshot).
Fill in your serial number and the password received. The tutorial code is needed for student licenses (which have a time limitation).
"OK" Button not visible?
In case you do not see the "OK" Button you might have an uncommon screen resolution. After you have entered the password press
- the "tab" key on your keyboard followed by the "return" key, or
- the "alt" key together with the "o" key (letter O)
