Solar forecasts from global weather models and satellite data for trading and energy management.
Ideal for trading and optimization
Meteonorm Forecast is ideal for a multitude of applications including grid optimization and energy trading.
Basic and Precision options
Meteonorm Forecast Basic gives access to single-model forecasts, while Meteonorm Forecast Precision gives access to multi-model forecasts enhanced with satellite data to optimize the nowcasting domain with current weather observations.
High-quality global weather forecasts
Meteonorm Forecast Basic contains data from one of the leading global forecasting models (GFS by NCEP) offering worldwide data homogeneity. Meteonorm Forecast Precision further uses a second global forecasting model (IFS by ECMWF) as well as satellite data and includes advanced post-processing.
Continuously updated
New forecasts are produced by NCEP and ECMWF four times a day. In addition, we statistically improve the forecasts on a 15-minute basis for the first few hours and on an hourly basis for the later hours with the latest ground weather station data. This is done by blending the forecasts with cloud motion vector (CMV) forecasts based on satellite data.
Advanced post-processing
In Meteonorm Forecast Precision the global weather forecast results are post-processed using state-of-the-art model-output-statistics (MOS) algorithms to obtain location-specific forecasts at any point worldwide.
